Our Headline Acts

Lil’ JIMMY REED, a.k.a Leon Atkins, was born in Alabama in the late 1930’s and taught himself to play the guitar and harmonica at the tender age of 16. He recalls that his daddy bought his first guitar on a Monday and he could play it by the Saturday.
Self-taught, he loved nothing better than to watch the local blues players in the towns and villages of southern Louisiana and to play when he got that chance.
Legend has it that he acquired his nickname one night when the original blues meister, Jimmy Reed, was scheduled to perform but got too drunk to take the stage. Leon was thrust on stage and gave such a show-stopping performance that from then on he was nicknamed Lil’ Jimmy Reed.
Lil’ Jimmy will be ably backed by a posse of Dundee and Angus stalwarts at Blues in the Community.  Check out Lil' Jimmy's website.

Rumour has it that they are so good that the Dutch Government decided to sponsor them coming to the UK so that they could spread the Blues word.
The Road Dawgz consist of:-
“Popla” Polewski (bass) from Poland, James “the night train” Kelley (vocals) from Denver Colorado, Andres Litwin (drums) from Buenos Aries, Argentina, Ric Stokes (sax/ harmonica) from New York USA, Davor Lazic (guitar) from Loznica Serbia and Curro Noriega (slide guitar) from Madrid Spain.
